Planning that dream vacation? How about a romantic weekend getaway? Want to savor a fine dining experience or attend an enriching cultural performance? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then you're in luck. On Friday, May 9, 2008 at 5:45 p.m., we invite you to the
opportunity of a lifetime! Join in the bidding and the fun as the Association for Retarded Citizens and the event's founding Arc Angel - American Airlines - present the Annual Summer Spree Auction, one of the greatest vacation and recreation auctions South Florida has ever seen.

What's more, the auction has already garnered a well deserved reputation as one of Miami's most festive fundraisers. The auction items include incredible travel packages to far-flung destinations throughout the world. There's a tremendous array of fantastic weekend getaways, fine dining and the best entertainment and cultural attractions South Florida has to offer. Because Miami is, in fact, a geographical crossroads to the rest of the world, and an ideal point of departure for getaways to points throughout North and South America and the Caribbean, it's the ideal place to plan a major travel and leisure auction.. Clearly, this is the kind of event that will appeal to South Florida's love for travel.
What's more, the timing couldn't be better. Spring seems to be a natural time for turning one's thoughts towards recreation and summer vacations.
The doors will open at 5:45 p.m. for registration. Guests then have
the opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner with complimentary
wine, to mingle with Miami's leading movers and shakers, and to enjoy
the evening's entertainment. At the same time, there will be ample
opportunity to bid on an in credible
array of exciting items offered in the silent auction, taking place
from 6:00 to 7:45. At 8:00, the oral auction gets underway, once again
featuring Professional Auctioneer Michael Guyer.
With over 500 entrees up for bid, there should be no shortage of exciting
offerings to tempt your desires. However, even if you choose not to
get caught up in the auction fever - and we dare you to resist - the
food and festivities alone are a guarantee of a good time.
So what more could anyone ask for? Well, consider the cause. The Summer Spree Auction is a charitable event that benefits the Association for Retarded Citizens, a non-profit United Way agency, which serves more than 60,000 individuals throughout South Florida. It has a two-fold purpose: to ensure the rights of all persons with developmental disabilities through ongoing advocacy, and to provide specialized programs and services that help clients lead meaningful and fulfilling lives.
With admission a mere $65.00 ($55.00 if you pre-register), the cost of combining fun and philanthropy
couldn't be any more reasonable. You can use your Visa, Master Card
or American Express both for registration and to pay for your purchases.
