ARC's Summer Spree Auction

Rules
for Oral Auction

1. OPENING BIDS - Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

2. BIDDER NUMBERS - You will be assigned a bidder number and a paddle reflecting the number. USE ONLY THE PADDLE NUMBER ASSIGNED TO YOU WHEN BIDDING.

3. VALUE - Values set on goods and services are donor estimates and are not warranted by the Arc for tax purposes or general value.

4. EXPIRATION - All goods and services must be used within the time period restricted by donors on certificate, unless there is no restriction. In that case, the certificates are valid for a period of one year from the date of the Auction. Donors must be contacted within one month of the event.

5. RESTRICTIONS - All items are sold "AS IS." Products and/or services may have restrictions or qualifications which may affect value, application of use thereof to the bidder. Purchasers are bound by restrictions specified by donor. Terms are not negotiable. Items such as vacation and weekend packages are not transferable. Please read specifications and limitations carefully before purchase.

6. PAYMENT - Payment by winning bidder will be accepted only at the close of the Oral Auction. Cash and local checks will be accepted for all purchases. Credit cards (Master Card, Visa, American Express) will be accepted for purchases exceeding $50.00. Auctioneer will announce opening of Cashier's Desk. All items must be paid for IN FULL on auction night.

7. TAKING YOUR ITEMS - All auction items must be removed from the premises by 11:00 p.m. May 9, 2008. Items may be removed by showing a receipt for payment at departure. Arc cannot assume responsibility for items left after 11:00 p.m. auction night.

8. ALL SALES FINAL - Goods and services purchased at auction may not be exchanged, altered or returned for refund to the Arc or donor, except where specified. The Auction Committee reserves the right to establish and maintain minimum bids. Items received after the catalog deadline will be listed in the Addendum. Look for your Addendum in your registration package.

9. The Association for Retarded Citizens, South Florida (Arc, South Florida) is a non-profit corporation and registered as such with the Internal Revenue Service #59-0839562. All gifts to the Association for Retarded Citizens, South Florida are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
